Julius Horace Fletcher (b. 11 Oct 1857 in Porter, Van Buren, MI, d. 25 Jan 1930 in Marcellus, Cass, MI) married Sophia Elizabeth Stute (b. 02 Sep 1864 in Schoolcraft, Van Buren, MI, d. 15 June 1953 in Dowagiac, Cass, MI) on 11 Sep 1881. They had 4 children:
1. Mabel Sophia Fletcher (b. 12 May 1884 in Porter, Van Buren, MI, d. 21 Aug 1923 in Marcellus, Cass, MI) married Leroy S. Long (b. 02 Dec 1880 in Lockport, MI, d. 17 Oct 1944 in Kalamazoo, MI) on 23 Aug 1918.
2. Muriel Sarah Fletcher ( 21 Sep 1889 in Porter, Van Buren, MI, - 05 July 1970 in Grand Rapids, MI) married Emory Brown (b. 17 Nov 1881 in Volinia Twp., Cass, MI, d. 04 April 1954 in Marcellus, Cass, MI) on 17 Nov 1908.
3. Julia Mae Fletcher (b. 24 June 1891 in Porter, Van Buren, MI, d. 27 July 1952 in Saskatchewan, Canada) married Owen R. McNinch.
4. Wyborne Leroy Fletcher (b. 17 Feb 1904 in Marcellus, Cass, MI, d. 04 July 1951 in Cassopolis, Cass, MI) married Ruby Hassenger.

MRS. J. H. FLETCHER Sophia Elizabeth Fletcher, age 88, died Monday, June 15, 1953, in Helen's Haven Convalescent Home in Dowagiac. Her hip was broken in a fall February 9, and she was in Lee Memorial hospital 11 weeks before removal to Helen's Haven, where she has been the past seven weeks. She was born September 2, 1864, in Schoolcraft, Mich., fifth in a family of eight children, to Frederick and Julia (Grogan) Stute, all of whom preceded her in death.
She was married September 11, 1881, to Julius H. Fletcher. Four children were born to them. Mabel, Mrs. L. S. Long, died in 1923; her only son, Wyborne, two years ago July 4; and her youngest daughter, May, Mrs. Alex Kettles, July 27, 1952. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Emory Brown, with whom she had lived the last five years; four grandsons, Arden McNinet of San Francisco, Gerry and Merton Brown of Battle Creek, and Donald Brown, of Buchanan; a granddaughter, Barbara, Mrs. Ivan Wheaton of Holland, Mich.; and 9 great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews and many friends. Mrs. Fletcher was a member of the Evangelical United Bretheran church and of the Eastern Star Lodge. Funeral services will be held in the Romig Funeral Home, today (Thursday, June 18) at 2:30 p.m., conducted by her pastor, Rev. Gerald Wilkie. Pallbearers will be her four grandsons. Burial in Marcellus cemetery.
