Frank June Manning (20 June 1878 - 1927) married Regina Thurkow (13 Jan 1881 - 05 April 1917) in May 1903. They had three children:

  1. Helen Mae Manning (27 Jan 1905 - 12 June 1973) married Carl Valentine Adams
  2. Rex Thurkow Manning (06 Oct 1903 - 05 Sep 1907)
  3. Maxine Mae Manning (05 Nov 1910 - )

Regina Thurkow was the daughter of Fritz Thurkow (b. 25 March 1850 in Mecklenberg, Germany, d. 26 Oct 1920 in Marcellus, Cass, MI and buried in Bly Cemetery, Marcellus, Cass, MI). He married Hattie Timm (b. 06 Dec 1949 in Mecklenberg, Germany, d. 02 April 1929). They had 6 children:

  1. Eliza Thurkow
  2. Vera Thurkow
  3. Bertha Thurkow
  4. Fred Thurkow (b. 1872, d. 1929) buried in Bly Cemetery, Marcellus, Cass, MI
  5. William Thurkow (b. 26 Oct 1876, d. Jan 1965) buried in Bly Cemetery, Marcellus, Cass, MI. He married Bessie M. Whitenight (b. 09 July 1884, d. 14 July 1967) in 1897. They both are buried in Bly Cemetery, Marcellus, Cass, MI. They had two children:
    1. Emmanell Thurkow (b. 1910)
    2. Berthera L. Thurkow (b. about 1921)

Obituary for Regina Thurkow Manning

"Mrs. June Manning died Thursday morning, April 5, 1917, at her home in Marcellus. Jennie was the sixth child of Fritz and Hattie Thurkow. She was born in Fabius Township (Cass County, MI), January 14, 1881 and passed away at the age of 36 years, 2 months and 22 days. In 1903 she was united in marriage to June Manning. To this union were born three children: a son, Rex T., and two daughters, Helen M., aged 12 and Maxine, aged 6, the son having preceded his mother in death in 1908 at the age of four years. She leaves to mourn her sudden departure, a husband, two children, a father, three brothers, fou r sisters, and many friends... The funeral services were held from the Evangelical church.... and the remains were laid to rest in the Bly cemetery." (Source: Robert Brown)
