Mary A. Nemmers, 81, of 2181 Key Way Drive, died peacefully, Saturday, June 3, 2006, at home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Resurrection Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum, Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. to-day at Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where there will be a wake service at 7:30 p.m.
She was born on May 27, 1925, in Dubuque, daughter of George and Laura (Heaton) Fluke. She married Glenn Nemmers on Dec. 29, 1947, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church; he preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 2005.
She graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in 1943.
She was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Susan (Bill) Biver, Cathy (Pat) McAndrew and Glenann (Jeff) Kiebler, all of Dubuque, and Karen (Harv) Lowery, of Washington, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, Laurie, Mark, Jenni, Matt, Nick, Jon, Nicole, Tiffany, Jeff Jr., Erin, Ashley, Robbie and Linsey; and 10 great-grandchildren, Delisha, Bryton, Jeradin, Brady, Brooke, Bryce, Milana, Triston, Kailin and Geoff Jr.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jeff Biver; and six sisters, Nathalie Collins, Florence Grobstick, Delora Lippe, Sister George Marie Fluke, and Susan and Virginia Fluke, in infancy.
